Shakatak and Hamish Stuart among Swansea jazz highlights

Friday night performances from Shakatak and the Hamish Stuart Band are among the highlights of the new year [2018] calendar announced by Swansea Jazzland.

Wales’ premier jazz venue continues with its popular Wednesday night sessions at the friendly St. James Club in Swansea’s Uplands, and adds the Friday night specials at the bigger Dylan Thomas Theatre in the city’s waterfront quarter – a favourite venue for headliners at the Swansea International Jazz Festival.

Jazz-funk and fusion veterans Shakatak appear on February 23rd and the Hamish Stuart Band (also featuring fellow Average White Band alumnus Molly Duncan) on April 18th.

Stuart and Duncan proved a big hit at the venue, when they signed off the festival in 2016, with a funky and soulful set as the mainstays of 360.

Full details of the busy Swansea Jazzland programme and ticket info (including special offers and membership) are available here.
